PHE obtains EGB access as part of a doctoral thesis

PHE recently obtained an access and certification from the CNAMTS to the EGB database (Echantillon Généraliste des Bénéficiaires), with the aim of developing a predictive tool based on medico-administrative data.

As part of a doctoral thesis attached to the Paris Descartes University, Alexandre Vimont, under the supervision of Isabelle Durand-Zaleski and Henri Leleu, will develop a tool for predicting hospitalization risk, excess mortality risk, and more fundamentally risk of additional costs for the National Health Insurance (Assurance Maladie).

Through descriptions of care trajectories and comparisons with the current recommendations, this work ultimately aims at exploring alternative ways of financing health professionals and institutions.
